What blesses one blesses all! When I open my heart to the knowledge that God is Love, and that I am the image and likeness of Love, I am reborn in that Love. We may think it's selfish to pray for ourselves, but the knowledge that we bless the world when we bless ourself sets us free to honor ourself as much as we do a loved one. Praying for ourselves: what a concept, huh? Acknowledging the reality of our Being, affirming our goodness as a child of God, knowing that everyone is created as a manifestation of divine Mind, these are some of the ways we bless ourselves and everyone else.
