ACIM Workbook Lesson #141: Today begins a review of the last 20 lessons. Our main theme is: “My mind holds only what I think with God"  Review of: #121 “Forgiveness is the key to happiness” #122 “Forgiveness offers everything I want.”

I’ve been spending time in the offices of a prosthetic company, getting fitted and adjusted and learning how to use this interesting appendage. While sitting in the waiting room, I’ve met a number of angry and sad people. One woman blames her husband for wrecking the motorcycle she was riding on, another woman blames herself for a lifestyle which brought about the loss of a limb, a man is angry because he can’t continue his former lifestyle. I never ask anyone questions; these stories come pouring forth. Of course, not everyone is unhappy. There’s the man who is using this circumstance as a way to find another wife. He’s been married five times and is looking forward to the sixth!  I sit there smiling and doing my best to think loving thoughts. They all probably think I’m on heavy drugs — haha! Forgiving is the undoing of the denying of Love. Forgiving clears the false image and opens my mind to Love. If I can manage to live this forgiveness within myself, I am extending it to a world in need of Love. Namastè!!

ACIM Workbook Lesson #121
“Forgiveness is the key to happiness.

We are told in today’s ACIM lesson that “forgiveness is the key to happiness”. The unforgiving mind is sad, torn with doubt, confused, afraid, angry, weak, blustering, afraid of every sound and more afraid of stillness; terrified of darkness, but more so of approaching light. Recently I went with a friend to see the movie “Cinderella”. It was a visual treat, full of fun transitions and beautiful scenes. The wicked stepmother and her daughters exhibited all of the characteristics of an unforgiving mind, while Cinderella held to what her mother had taught her: courage and kindness. Because of her loving disposition and compassion, she was shown the way out of drudgery by a fairy godmother. In the final scene, she tells her stepmother she forgives her and, of course, lives happily ever after. Some people think of this as a silly story, something made up in order to give ourselves false hope, but I’ve seen some real-life fairy tales in action. When I attend an event and feel wicked-stepmother energy and sweet-princess energy, I’m going to go sit by Cinderella!

May 1, 2014 - Be Happy!

ACIM Workbook Lesson #121
“Forgiveness is the key to happiness.

In today's ACIM workbook lesson, we are asked to think of someone we don't like. Then we are to find some bit of light in them and let it grow until we feel the goodness which they inherently are as an expression of divine Love. After we have allowed this feeling to grow, we are asked to think of someone we like and transfer that good feeling to them. In doing this, we then realize there is no difference in these people. All feelings of separation are released in the realization of our unity. So-called forgiveness is the letting go of false beliefs in various forms of separation, This type of forgiveness is very powerful. It heals. When we are filled up with Love, there is no room for anything else, and it is our only reality. Every interaction we have today will be an opportunity to deny separation and realize unity. Let's be happy!!
