ACIM Lesson #296
“The Holy Spirit speaks through me today.”

Book Club Friends Forever
[Marsha's thoughts]
Yesterday, two things struck me as profoundly, oddly wonderful! At one point, there were ten or so people in the gallery, happily enjoying art and listening to the jazzings of Diana Krall. Suddenly, we heard shouting outside. It was someone yelling out his window at another driver. Immediately -- and I mean immediately!! -- we all burst into laughter! It was so wonderful. What a beautiful shift in thought that none of us saw anything either right or wrong with this behavior, but we did see how ridiculous it was -- in a funny way! Wow. I was and am awestruck by the way this felt. And later on, a woman asked me if I was going to take "early ascension"! Now that was a conversation!! All of these signs and wonders are very exciting as we watch and meld into this shift of consciousness which is being evidenced everywhere! As a movie on quantum physics asks us:
How far down the rabbit hole do you want to go?
Hum -- I'm not sure we have a choice!

Mary Baker Eddy quote:
"Eloquence re-echoes the strains of Truth and Love.
It is due to inspiration rather than to erudition."

ACIM Lesson #295
“The Holy Spirit looks through me today.”

"View Through the Barn: #6"
[Marsha's thoughts]
Things are changing very quickly. Everywhere we look, people are seeing through different eyes as they open themselves to the reality of other-dimensional thought. Today three people asked me why people came to Eureka Springs. And they didn't ask it in the general way people often ask about this phenomenon; they leaned on the counter, looked me deep in the eyes, and sincerely asked it! And from the opposite end of this thought a friend who lives here asked why so many people were in town today. There is no "event" to draw them and many are surprised to see the throngs in the streets. But I see it as a lovely symptom of everything that's happening everywhere. We're waking up! We're being drawn to what will help our Being. We're talking to each other about things that matter.
What an exciting time to be alive!

Mary Baker Eddy quote:
“The seasons will come and go with changes of time and tide, cold and heat, latitude and longitude.
The agriculturist will find that these changes cannot affect his crops.  The mariner will have dominion over the atmosphere and the great deep, over the fish of the sea and the fowls of the air. The astronomer will no longer look up to the stars,-- he will look out from them upon the universe; and the florist will find his flower before its seed.”

ACIM Lesson #294
“My body is a wholly neutral thing.”[Marsha's thoughts]
"Changing the Net"
I'm glad we're getting past the thought that something must be "wrong" with the body in order for it to be cast off. I've had two friends who died in their 50s with no physical cause. One of these people was traveling, stopped at a hotel, laid down on the bed and was gone. As this was an unattended death, all the legal protocol were followed and it was determined that there was no physical reason at all for her passing. I think this is great! The new realms of thought we're accessing allow many old beliefs to be abandoned -- finally! How many material laws have imprisoned us with unlocked doors? This body as a wholly neutral thing is an empty vessel waiting to be filled up with thought. Let's make sure that it’s thought independent of erroneous learning and dogma. Everything is important; nothing is important -- neutrality.

Mary Baker Eddy quote:
“The elements and functions of the physical body and of the physical world will change as mortal mind changes its beliefs. What is now considered the best condition for organic and functional health in the human body may no longer be found indispensable to health. Moral conditions will be found always harmonious and health-giving. Neither organic inaction nor overaction is beyond God's control; and man will be found normal and natural to changed mortal thought, and therefore more harmonious in his manifestations than he was in the prior states which human belief created and sanctioned.”

ACIM Lesson #293
"All fear is past and only love is here."

[Marsha's thoughts]
Last evening, I had planned on going to our Course in Miracles meeting, but something kept holding me at my gallery until well past the starting time. Although I didn't know what, I dutifully followed this prompting. Although numerous people were in and a few sales were made, nothing seemed "worthy" of keeping me from someplace I wanted to be! So around 7:15 I started to close up and was turning off the lights when a woman came in the door, in tears, asking if I'd found her wallet. She had been in earlier in the day, but had no idea where she may have left all her credit cards and money. She said her husband was very angry with her because they'd had their "identity stolen" a few years ago. We retraced her steps while in the gallery and found her wallet in a print rack. While she was very grateful to have found her things, she was still very fearful because of her husband's reactions concerning things from the past. After she left, I realized what I'd kept repeating to her: You're good. You're good. I'm not sure why I was saying this, but hopefully she knows! This incident has shown me how living in the past is the only place fear exists, and that living in the now allows loving reality to shine forth as our only reality.

Mary Baker Eddy quote:
"The Apostle John says: "There is no fear in Love, but perfect Love casteth out fear. . . . He that feareth is not made perfect in Love." Here is a definite and inspired proclamation of Christian Science."

ACIM Lesson #292
“A happy outcome to all things is sure.”

Lyla Allison in
May Festival of the Arts Parade
[Marsha's thoughts]
Putting God first is living a life of constant prayer. This prayer brings us into harmony with divine Mind, and from this we witness happy outcomes. Twelve years ago I took my young boys on a 3,000-mile road trip. We made no reservations and had no plans other than to attend women's World Cup soccer games and look for miniature golf courses. In preparation for this trip, I spent a lot of time studying the science of Mind and working to bring myself into alignment with these metaphysical principles. Through this process, we witnessed many happy outcomes, but the most dramatic was on the first day of our trip. I had worn glasses to see far away for more than 30 years and suddenly found I could see without them. I enjoyed this freedom until a few years ago when renewing my drivers' license and found that they were needed again. It is said by many that these things are to be expected as we grow older. In steadfastly refusing to accept this prognosis, yesterday I renewed my license with no restrictions as to sight. Instances such as this affirm my conviction to live single-mindedly, with only God as my goal, expecting only happy outcomes.

Mary Baker Eddy quote:
“The scientific unity which exists between God and man must be wrought out in life-practice,
and God's will must be universally done.”

ACIM Lesson #291
“This is a day of stillness and of peace

"Lake Wedington"
[Marsha's thoughts]
This still and peaceful day is a perfect backdrop for the thoughts we are holding today. It's a beautiful, gray day in the Ozarks and the peace is easily felt in the misty splendor of the fall stillness. I am grateful for these words in A Course in Miracles. I am grateful for the words of Mary Baker Eddy and her determination to practice absolutely the Science of The Christ. These words point toward the Truth of our Being, and assure us that it is there for us all the time. These writings show us how to move away from the learned behaviors of a lifetime. I am grateful that they help us to see these Truths and by their living pass them on to others, especially our children and those who have not been indoctrinated in material belief as heavily as we have. The stillness and peace of wildlife help to show me the way of this Truth. I will watch for signs everywhere today --
and be grateful for them.

Mary Baker Eddy quote:
"Certain moods of mind find an indefinable pleasure in stillness, soft, silent as the storm's sudden hush; for nature's stillness is voiced with a hum of harmony, the gentle murmur of early morn, the evening's closing vespers,
and lyre of bird and brooklet."

ACIM Lesson #290
“My present happiness is all I see.”

"Gathering of the Girls"

[Marsha's thoughts]
When my boys were little, I heard Wayne Dyer tell us something which we still practice to this day. He told the story of getting up in the morning, feeling wonderful, and saying, It's such a beautiful day, I think I'll call in sick! This made me smile at the time because I'd often get a cold when I needed a break from the routine, and had come to look forward to these events. Although his illustration talked of a person pretending to be sick, I find that this pretense often manifests itself in our existence. And so I started to advise my children to let me know when they needed some time for themselves, which we did with full disclosure to the school. Today has been such a day for me. After a minor obligation this morning, I chose to simply Be on this beautiful 75-degree fall day. It's easy to feel “my present happiness” while sitting in the sun watching squirrels gathering nuts. And tomorrow I will choose to feel this happiness shining through
whatever the day may bring.

Mary Baker Eddy quote:
“Earth has little light or joy for mortals before Life is spiritually learned. Every agony of mortal error helps error to destroy error, and so aids the apprehension of immortal Truth. This is the new birth going on hourly, by which men may entertain angels, the true ideas of God,
the spiritual sense of being.”

ACIM Lesson #289
“The past is over. It can touch me not.”

                                                        [Marsha's thoughts]
Friends
This is one of the reasons I love the business of selling art. Every day I meet lots of new people. Although knowing nothing about them when they walk in the door, when they leave we’ve made a mini-friendship based on what we have learned about each other in a few minutes. It’s pure and clean and nothing matters but the moment we’re together in this small area, with a divine atmosphere of Love emanating from the art of more than a hundred people. Wow! What could be better?! And through these daily meetings I’m seeing this now-ness being demonstrated time and again. It enables me to forget my past when I constantly live in the present. And when others try to take me to the past (whether it’s theirs or mine), I am learning ways of bypassing these trips. With this exercise happening so frequently, it seems I won’t allow myself to wander through memory land any more than I’ll let others bring it into our existence while in the realm of Eureka Thyme. I love the serene otherworld we create within these walls. It’s helping me see the now in every moment, and the nothingness of moments gone by.
Mary Baker Eddy quote:
“As the crude footprints of the past disappear from the dissolving paths of the present, we shall better understand the Science which governs these changes, and shall plant our feet on firmer ground. Every sensuous pleasure or pain is self-destroyed through suffering. There should be painless progress, attended by life and peace instead of discord and death.”

ACIM Lesson #288
“Let me forget my brother's past today.”

"Apartheid 2"
Stoneware sculpture
by Ken Starbird
[Marsha's thoughts]
It's interesting that this lesson topic has come up, because today I've been in an email discussion in which my last note stated that I tend to not remember much of anything! And now here I am being told to forget my brother's past. I think I can do that!! While pondering these points, I'm listening to a person singing on the balcony of a nearby hotel/restaurant. The performer seems to me to be very unmelodious, and as if to rub it in, he's singing some of my favorite songs. I'm really trying not to blame him for this! And so I'm seeing him as innovative in the changes he's making to well-loved Beatles songs. I'm not attacking him, even though he's so loud I've had to turn off my jazzy piano music 'cause the decibels can't compete! Now this exercise is getting easier. He's playing something I've never heard of, and it doesn't sound so bad! And so I'm forgetting that I don't like him, and I'm not going to jump up on my high-horse with a holier-than-thou attitude (which crossed my mind to the point of envisioning what I would say to the manager of the hotel!), and I'm remembering that we are the same because our source is the same, and I'm not blaming him because he doesn't sing the way I'd like for him to. I'm now singing along with the Eagles song he's currently butchering and it's become a lovely, comedic parenthesis in eternity. I am not blaming myself for these thoughts any more than I'm blaming him for his actions. It is what it is. Whew ~~~~
Mary Baker Eddy quote:
"One infinite God, good, unifies men and constitutes the brotherhood of man; ends wars; fulfils the Scripture, "Love thy neighbor as thyself;" annihilates pagan and Christian idolatry,--whatever is wrong in social, civil, criminal, political, and religious codes; equalizes the sexes; annuls the curse on man, and leaves nothing that can sin, suffer, be punished or destroyed."

ACIM Lesson #287
“You are my goal, my Father. Only You.”

"Dancing on Cosmic Jello"
from Sandy Wythawai Starbird
[Marsha's thoughts]
In the early 1900s, people flocked to Eureka Springs for the healing waters. Thousands of people in need found their way here, as they still do today. People are drawn to our town, often without knowing why! I love watching transformation of circumstance as people's thought changes from focusing on the problem to looking toward the solution. In varying degrees, we are all realizing that true healing comes when we release our beliefs in things and open ourselves to feeling the presence of Love. When this is our only desire, when there is no other need or want, wonderful avenues appear. Often it takes extreme conditions to cause us to seek the understanding of our unity with this Love. But isn't it sweet when we skip that step and fall straight into the Love!

Mary Baker Eddy quote:
“All nature teaches God's love to man, but man cannot love God supremely and set his whole affections on spiritual things, while loving the material or trusting in it more than in the spiritual.”

ACIM Lesson #286
“The hush of Heaven holds my heart today.”

"Black Bass Spillway"
Carol Dickie
 [Marsha's thoughts]
We're doing less and accomplishing more;
soon we'll be doing nothing and accomplishing everything! I don't know where I first heard this, but I love it!! And I love the word "hush", as it's used in the sentence above. It sounds and feels like what it means! A quiet susserence which feels like nestling into a featherbed, or maybe the sound of a snowfall late at night -- the hush of something unspeakably cozy. These are the feelings I'll call to mind today while remembering there is nothing I need do, because it is already done.

Mary Baker Eddy quote:
"Having no other gods, turning to no other but the one perfect Mind to guide him, man is the likeness of God, pure and eternal, having that Mind which was also Christ."

ACIM Lesson #285
“My holiness shines bright and clear today.”

Aaron and Heather
Graduation Day
[Marsha's thoughts]
Today someone said something I hadn't heard in a long, long time: Misery loves company. Is that why so many of the conversations we hear daily center around disease and inclement weather? Yikes! I suppose it would be too rude to tell people why this way of existence is not conducive to happiness. But I can feel
joy -- and scatter it!! -- in the face of any suffering thought that is brought to me today. No, this won't be a laughing-in-the-face-of-sorrow type of joy. This will be a gentle joy, a quiet joy, sent out in true compassion while seeing divine reality. This will be my holiness shining today. We know that joy loves company, too!
Let's see how infectious happiness can be.

Mary Baker Eddy quote:
“We must form perfect models in thought and look at them continually, or we shall never carve them out in grand and noble lives. Let unselfishness, goodness, mercy, justice, health, holiness, love—the kingdom of heaven—reign within us, and sin, disease, and death will diminish until they finally disappear”

ACIM Lesson #284
“I can elect to change all thoughts that hurt.”
[Marsha's thoughts]
This process of turning around all hurtful thoughts is an interesting study! Through years of striving to see through the eyes of Truth, Its realization now comes more frequently and with more ease. I could make a graph of the changing face of grief I've felt through the years surrounding the loss of friends and pets. As a 12-year-old, the loss of my dog was devastating. I wouldn't allow myself to love another pet for more than ten years. For the next 30 years these losses have seemed painful, but have always brought my thought closer to another realization concerning continuity. When looking in the eyes of a beloved pet, I see those I've loved in the past. Often when talking to a new friend, I may have deja-vu-ish feelings of being with someone departed long ago. All these experiences bring the realization of the Oneness of all being, and I relish each loss and gain in this embrace. Whatever the hurt or suffering seems to be, it can be perceived in other ways. Love (God) fills our being at its core and its edge. This unbroken reality allows us to feel a
gentle Presence in every experience.

Mary Baker Eddy quote:
“It is self-evident that we are harmonious only as we cease to manifest evil or the belief that we suffer from the sins of others. Disbelief in error destroys error,
and leads to the discernment of Truth”

ACIM Lesson #283
“My true Identity abides in You.”
[Marsha's thoughts]
"The Well-Loved Child"
fabric creations of
Sandy Wythawai Starbird
It is good to remind ourselves of today's topic on a regular basis. Already this morning there have been three instances in which people who have forgotten their true Identity have attempted to pull me into their forgotten state. By the remembering that these illusions are only that -- illusions -- and the true Being of everything is the Love which creates all, I have been able to look for answers to seeming personal conflicts without resorting to speculation and psychological nit-picking. When we get into a "he-said-she-said" playing of people against each other, there is no true resolution. So I've stepped back and said, inwardly, that I know there is only one solution, the Love-based One, and now I'm waiting to hear (see, feel, know) how these seeming conflicts will be resolved. I refuse to speculate on what they may be, or wonder who is going to "back down", because we are all in this together and there is only Good to be reflected by us all. I will not project my thoughts onto others, and I reject any that are thrown toward me from them. Divine Mind guides and governs us all, when we allow it.
Mary Baker Eddy quote:
“Human thought never projected the least portion of true being. Human belief has sought and interpreted in its own way the echo of Spirit, and so seems to have reversed it and repeated it materially; but the human mind never produced a real tone nor sent forth a positive sound.”

ACIM Lesson #282
“I will not be afraid of love today.”

[Marsha's thoughts]
I will live Love today. Having just read an article about Steve Jobs' final days and his realizations of what is important, I am inspired to live with a single goal -- to reflect Love through the multitude of ways in which it is possible. Join with me in taking to heart these words from Mr. Jobs: "Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition.”

Mary Baker Eddy quote:
“Love is priestess at the altar of Truth. Wait patiently for divine Love to move upon the waters of mortal mind, and form the perfect concept.”

ACIM Lesson #281
“I can be hurt by nothing but my thoughts.”

"The Gathering"
Clay Sculpture which flowed through Ken Starbird

[Marsha's thoughts]
We all know of instances which demonstrate the supremacy of spirit to matter. We've heard of, or witnessed, or experienced events which cause us to examine our long-held beliefs concerning material so-called laws. The first one that always comes to my mind is of my older son falling 15 feet or so off of an embankment, landing in an area of rocks and boulders. When he was falling, he tells me he didn't think anything in specific, but because of his early teaching and his knowledge of God he simply knew that all was well. It never crossed his mind that he would be injured, because he knows the Truth of his existence. When he landed, he looked down and saw his foot and lower leg inside the bolder! As he walked away he realized he wasn't particularly surprised, but he was certainly attentive. What was this which allows material laws to be put aside? Hum -- they must not be laws! His sureness in limitless Good has been shown in other instances, such as close encounters with a crevasse in Mongolia and a snow-covered boulder while skiing in Colorado. A moment-by-moment certainty of the Principle of all Being assures us that all is well, and allows us to walk in the surety of that beautiful fact.

Mary Baker Eddy quote:
“You cause bodily sufferings and increase them by admitting their reality and continuance, as directly as you enhance your joys by believing them to be real and continuous. When an accident happens, you think or exclaim, "I am hurt!" Your thought is more powerful than your words, more powerful than the accident itself, to make the injury real. Now reverse the process. Declare that you are not hurt and understand the reason why, and you will find the ensuing good effects to be in exact proportion to your disbelief in physics, and your fidelity to divine metaphysics, confidence in God as All.”

ACIM Lesson #280
"What limits can I lay upon God's Son?"

Beaver Bridge
photo from Jim Young

[Marsha's thoughts]
So many thoughts go through my mind about how we limit ourselves. By the act of thinking we are material, we limit ourselves. But we are freed by the realization that spirit is not in matter. Okay, so we are truly Spirit, but we appear to be matter, and spirit isn't in this matter. So how does that work? Our governing force, our True Self, is spiritual. We are an idea -- a divine, compound Idea of God. This idea is what is perfect. The matter we see all around us is corporeal -- obviously! It changes, it disappears, it does not fit any definition of perfection we have in our vocabulary. So we try to make it fit, saying that everything is perfect just as it is, which leaves us feeling somehow punished because we're so miserable. I have found that every concept which includes spirit as being somehow co-mingled with matter brings me to a dead-end in thinking time and again. Only by agreeing that we are limitless Spirit, neither compressed in nor bound to matter, can I feel the freedom that has no limits.

Mary Baker Eddy quote:
"The everlasting I AM is not bounded nor compressed within the narrow limits of physical humanity, nor can He be understood aright through mortal concepts. The precise form of God must be of small importance in comparison with the sublime question, What is infinite Mind or divine Love?"
Science & Health Page 256:13-18

ACIM Lesson #279
“Creation's freedom promises my own.”
Aaron in Mongolia
[Marsha's thoughts]
Isn't it interesting to think of preconceived notions! For instance, when we have acquaintances whom we haven't met, we may imagine them sitting in their living room as they talk to us on the phone. When a loved one tells us about an experience, we "see" them in that situation and fill in the picture in interesting ways. When we think about God, images may come to mind which may be no more than fairy tales and other myths remembered. When we are told we are free, certain images may come to mind. And so what of our bondage which is only imagined? I know I live in those beliefs every day and it often seems impossible to be released from them. As children we are told not to talk to strangers, to be careful lest we fall, to be afraid of God, to live in certain ways in order to gain the approval of others -- the list goes on. It seems to make sense that we must follow a multitude of rules and beliefs in order to exist on this plane, and when we start to realize most of these so-called rules have nothing to do with our true existence it can be frightening -- and exhilarating! The freedom of our true creation is seen through a change in our perception of reality. Taking ourselves out of the prison of preconceived notions allows the Love we are to show through our actions in sublime ways. An "ah-ha" moment can become an "ummmm" moment!

Mary Baker Eddy quote:
“Omnipotent and infinite Mind [God] made all and includes all. This Mind does not make mistakes and subsequently correct them.”
Science and Health Page 206:28–30

ACIM Lesson #248
“If I am bound, my Father is not free.”

[Marsha's thoughts]
Sometimes the miasma of materiality seems overwhelming. It's easy to feel bound by illnesses and painful injuries, financial burdens, grief, and all the other beliefs we see as reality. Our lives and the events in them may appear to have a beginning and an end. Physicists tell us of a perspective called quantum entanglement, in which particles separate yet remain connected, reacting to stimuli in the same way even though they are no longer occupy the same space. In a book by Dan Cowan, Mind Underlies Spacetime, he explains, "...this direct connectedness occurs because each real entity is already everywhere." This perfectly explains our Oneness with All That Is, and this understanding of our permanence in God frees us from fear of human circumstance. This omnipresence is our perfect identify, without boundaries, which we express more every day through our apprehension thereof. Today I will start with this idea and see where it takes me!

Mary Baker Eddy quote:
“The admission to one's self that man is God's own likeness sets man free to master the infinite idea. This conviction shuts the door on death, and opens it wide towards immortality. The understanding and recognition of Spirit must finally come, and we may as well improve our time in solving the mysteries of being through an apprehension of divine Principle. At present we know not what man is, but we certainly shall know this when man reflects God.”

ACIM Lesson #277
“Let me not bind Your Son with laws I made.”

[ACIM prayer for the day]
“Your Son is free, my Father. Let me not imagine I have bound him with the laws I made to rule the body. He is not subject to any laws I made by which I try to make the body more secure. He is not changed by what is changeable. He is not slave to any laws of time. He is as You created him, because he knows no law except the law of love.”

[Marsha's thoughts]
I've repeated the phrase "change is good" so much recently that a friend gave me a change purse with that saying on it! We are all loosing bonds which hold us to thought that simply is not working. We're changing everything from the way we shop to the way we love. As we examine the beliefs we live by, we realize we can be a law unto ourselves. The fears that have followed us throughout our lives have shaped our view of ourselves and everything around us. But a universal shift in thought is upon us and we're each feeling it in our own way. The understanding that we don't have to be bound by any material belief because our true identify is spiritual is bringing us to a tipping point in consciousness realization. This freedom will be absolutely experienced. When? Well, as we're not slaves to time, why not now!!

Mary Baker Eddy quote:
“The supposed laws which result in weariness and disease are not His laws, for the legitimate and only possible action of Truth is the production of harmony. Laws of nature are laws of Spirit; but mortals commonly recognize as law that which hides the power of Spirit. Divine Mind rightly demands man's entire obedience, affection, and strength. No reservation is made for any lesser loyalty. Obedience to Truth gives man power and strength. Submission to error superinduces loss of power.”

ACIM Lesson #276
“The Word of God is given me to speak.”
[Marsha's thoughts]
Alice in Wonderland has been coming to me from multiple avenues. Alice repeats many times in many circumstances that this is just a dream. She says, This is MY dream and you can't hurt me. Sometimes it's a self-righteous, This is MY dream and I can wake up any time I want. But yet, she continues to be victimized in various ways. Even though she knows the Truth, she can't seem to demonstrate it! I've always felt a kinship with Alice, as I'm sure many of you do, too. I think the ACIM lesson for today could have been an inspiration to Alice. To speak this Word is to live it. Until we understand these words, we don't have a chance of speaking (living) them. Let's allow these harmonies to take possession of human consciousness and thereby find our way to Truth, just like Alice.

Mary Baker Eddy quote:
“Let discord of every name and nature be heard no more, and let the harmonious and true sense of Life and being take possession of human consciousness.”

ACIM Lesson #275
“God's healing Voice protects all things today.”

"Tosca Ascending"
fabric creation by
Sandy Wythawai Starbird

[Marsha's thoughts]
Through relaxing into what's going on around us, combined with the recognition of all True Being as One, wonderful things happen! Yesterday I spoke of the many motorcycles in our area and the commotion which seems to ensue with their influx. The peace which we behold in every situation IS the protection which is ours simply for the accepting. In talking to people who are being of service to the tourists in our town, I heard time and again wonderful stories of our visitors. One shopkeeper was particularly impressed by the kindness and generosity of the motorcycle people, citing many instances of harmony. The noise of the motors trapped between buildings and mountains didn't seem too loud, the people didn't seem pushy, and everyone was happy! One of the local businesses which has in the past been involved in altercations with motorcycle aficionados saw the way to peace by not being open for business. It seems everywhere we looked there were instances of harmony, with all existing together and appreciating each other. A drumming in the park topped off a grand day in downtown Eureka. And all were protected in perfect peace.

Mary Baker Eddy quote:
“God gives the lesser idea of Himself for a link to the greater, and in return, the higher always protects the lower."

ACIM Lesson #274
“Today belongs to love. Let me not fear.”

[Marsha's thoughts]
Hundreds of thousands of motorcycles are enjoying the beauty of our Ozark Mountain roadways today. There is an event which is drawing them to us in these numbers. For many of us (particularly merchants in downtown Eureka Springs) it’s a trying time. It seems as the noise level heightens, the light atmosphere of peace and beauty we’ve become accustomed to becomes a bit heavy with anger and irritation. The powers that be inform us we should be happy to have the money that comes to our area from this influx. And so many grit their teeth with a smile as they dole out food and booze and jewelry to this seemingly hedonistic crowd. But if this day belongs to Love, as I know it does as there is truly nothing else, then I want to see with the eyes of Love, past the leathers and loudness, into the core of Being in which we all share this Love. I’ll close the door to irritation and open another one to harmonious music and laughter. Wish me luck!

“We must look deep into realism instead of accepting only the outward sense of things.”
